ACADEMY award winning actress Hilary Swank will inject some serious star power to the track tomorrow when she attends as a guest of Swisse.
The acclaimed actress is looking forward to returning to Melbourne, 21 years after she celebrated her birthday here while on holiday.
“I had my 20th birthday there, we stayed in Hepburn Springs,” she says.
In Australia for five days to work on her latest project, the animated film Spark in which she is the voice of a noble queen, Swank has been a last minute inclusion to the Birdcge guest list.
“I know it’s a prestigious event that everyone wants to go to. Everyone I’ve spoken to have said they’re jealous,” Swank says.
“Unfortunately I was only just invited, I wish I had more time to spend getting my outfit together. I’ll hopefully find something that is appropriate and respectful.”
Swank, who may hit the track with her former tennis player partner Ruben Torres, was met with stylists this afternoon to pull together her look for the day.
Swisse director of sales and marketing Michael Howard says they are delighted to welcome the Hollywood star to the Melbourne Cup Carnival for the first time.
“Hilary is also known for her love of health and wellness, and really embodies the Swisse brand,” he says.
